Podcasts coming soon!

The Dance Connects podcasts bring you into the world of dance practitioners living and working in a rural border region.

The podcasts were recorded on-site during a series of Sharing events in Cavan, Fermanagh-Omagh and Monaghan across 2024 and 2025. These events provided a platform for the dance partners to share their practices and learn from each other about their different ways of moving.

Dance partners came together to share Flamenco, Sean Nós and Step Dancing, Scottish Country Dancing, Contemporary Dance, Line Dancing, Jiving, and Hip Hop.

These Sharing events took place at venues, sites and places chosen by the dance partners as being significant to their practice: Hotel Kilmore in Cavan; Cavan Town Hall; Charlie’s Bar in Enniskillen; Killygarry Community Hall in Cavan; Roslea Community Centre in Fermanagh; Desertcreat Women’s Institute in Fermanagh; and the Garage Theatre in Monaghan.

Each podcast presents a conversation between two paired dance practitioners that crosses dance styles and territorial borders, finding connection across different dance practices and histories and sharing embodied knowledges of people and places for dance in rural border regions.
