We are delighted to welcome Dr Susie Deedigan (Notre Dame) to the Mitchell Institute.  Susie is the newly appointed Programme Manager for the Analysing and Researching Ireland North and South (ARINS) Project in Belfast.   ARINS is a nonpartisan, evidence-based research initiative that enables academics, practitioners and policymakers to explore questions and policy options for Ireland—north and south. 

The ARINS project was established in 2020 as a partnership between the Royal Irish Academy and the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, at the University of Notre Dame.  As part of the project and with the Irish Times, a major opinion survey on attitudes to a united Ireland is published annually.

Susie is expanding the work of ARINS in Northern Ireland in collaboration with the Mitchell Institute and manages events and research relating to the project.
