QCAP and MDA Staff Attend European Public Health Conference in Dublin
Amanda Dylina Morse (QCAP) and Ciarán Hargey (MDA) attended the recent European Public Health Conference, which was held in Dublin 8-11 November. The European Public Health Association holds its annual meeting in a different city each year, with themes covering public health issues like informatics and data reporting standards, nutrition and food security, communicable disease detection and control, injury and violence prevention, and support for mental well-being across the lifespan.
In addition to meeting with and learning from public health practitioners across Europe, Amanda and Ciarán presented a poster describing the substance use prevention work that QCAP and the MDA have undertaken through the Health Action Working Group. The work described the process of analysing resident feedback at the February 2022 Tackling Substance Use Together event and co-developing the associated work packages.
The poster’s abstract was included in a special edition of the European Journal of Public Health, available here.
