STRIDE Projects

Key aims of the project are to:
Understand existing data and data collection procedures; Build capacity of Parenting NI staff in data collection, handling and analysis; Analyse existing data; and Explore logic modelling to elucidate programmatic outcomes. 

These activities will contribute to improving Odyssey’s effectiveness, through capacity building and maximising the use of data collected to inform Parenting NI’s strategic plans.

 

The remit involved:

examination of current administration structures operating across Sure Start; and the respective contribution of the Pathway and Toybox Project towards achievement of Programme for Government and Department of Education goals. Consultancy support provided included advice on methodology, data collection, review of project reports, analysis, interpretation and report writing.

This project investigated:

if the Crescendo music and social learning programme improved pupils' musical ability and social and emotional learning (SEL) skills compared to pupils in other schools. It involved data collection on 400 Primary 1 pupils from 8 schools and some interviews with teachers and musicians.

The project involved:

supporting the EdTech Hub with a number of specialist services: logic modelling; review of baseline data collection and analysis; and advice on research literature.
